brief bio of myself, Claudia Beck, lifelong artist, graphic designer and owner of Sunflowers and Seagulls Promotional Services follows. Plus a few credentials and reference links.

But first, I wish to thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy it and find what you are looking for. As always, feel free to contact me at any point in time before, during or after your visit.

History De Dicto Locale - Originally from the East Coast of the United States, I grew up on the ocean and always thought it so dreamy to hear the waves crashing on the shoreline while the seagulls soared above my head screaming and crying to each other — about what? Fish? Humans? Their view maybe from way up high!

Now, many years later I reside on the landlocked high plains of Colorado. Who would have ever thought, way up here in this high plains desert at an altitude of 5,020 ft., where my wide open views are now the Rocky Mountains to the West and vast farm fields to the East that I would still be hearing my beloved and curious Seagulls!?!?

Thus is my inspiration from this God given lovely new environment for the theme of my design studio. Fantastic things do happen here — inside and out!

Artistry Credentials - During childhood, my household was filled with art and fascination as my British Mum was a fine artist herself and a lover of archeology, mythology and science fiction to boot. So it stands to reason that I loved to draw and paint and create just about anything every waking hour of my life.

So when college time came around and I announced I was going to study fine art, my loving but level headed NASA Engineer father basically said “not!” — :( — So my parents kindly introduced me to the then coined career field of “Commercial Art”. It was an archaic time for the field as we did not have these fantastic Macintosh computers to simplify our lives like we do now.

But somehow I managed to struggle through it. And somehow I also managed to bend the rules like all designers are so talented at — after all —that is part of our job description, how else can we be the creative individuals that we are? Thus I majored in Illustration with a minor in Commercial Art!

Since we all know, a love of something doesn’t pay our bills. And, starting out as a “freelance” anything is quite a financial struggle. I have, therefore, spent my entire career not as an Illustrator, but as a Graphic Designer with a quite handy skill of being able to produce all of my needed illustrations, be it clip art style or elaborate detailed work. I also love Photography, no surprise there. And use my own photos occasionally for my design needs as well.

Yes, I am very thankful to my Mom, my Dad’s reality check, my evasiveness and Apple Computers (okay, so maybe a bit of my 70’s lifestyle also - lol!) to have gotten me where I am now as a business owner of my own business promotions company providing unique and effective products to help other business owners build and grow their dreams and companies.

The Hard Facts - Enough of the storytelling, yes, I love to write too. I am actually a published author with Evan Carmichael for their Women Entrepreneurs Articles department. I also spend a lot of time helping clients with business names, domain names, taglines and other copy writing needs.

In addition to running my Sunflowers and Seagulls Business Promotions company which mainly consists of creating “visual aids” for business owners, I am beginning to diversify the promotional services I provide to other business owners.

I provide online advertising services via a Website Traffic Exchange service, plus provide Personal Coaching services for people who own the software script that runs these Traffic Exchanges. I also own an online direct sales eBook business which is currently taking a sabatical.

As you can see, I do love the internet, so I am also an avid Affiliate Marketer and just recently took offline an additional online business that I ran for many years that was a resource website for women, Google page ranked #5.

My Ultimate Goal - My own business goal right now is to merge all of my business offerings into my one Sunflowers and Seagulls Promotional Services company for ease of obtainability for my clients and to be able to service future clients more thoroughly. That is why my website itself is currently under construction. I should have this all completed over the next couple of months.

Once again, thank you for having visited my website today. I hope to be able to help you grow your business sometime in the near future. If not, I hope at least I was able to lighten up your day by giving you a little chuckle, a bit of entertainment and some eye candy!

Wishing you peace and success today and every day in all that you do,

Claudia Beck, Graphic Designer
